Our Lady of the Elms Softball team spent last year fundraising in hopes of being able to acquire an indoor batting cage for their team.  This year, Santa Clause made an early delivery and granted the athletic department’s wish.

Director of Athletics Lindsay Fullerman commented, “The process of acquiring the batting cage was a long one, and it’s great to finally see the fruits of the labor. The installation of this batting cage would not have been possible without the help of our donors.  We have a very generous community and I am so thankful to be a part of this school.  It’s going to give our players and coaches an advantage and jump on the upcoming season.”

Head Coach Randy Dye and Assistant Coach Paul Rokicky are looking forward to getting their team in the gym to start hitting. “The addition of the cage is fantastic.  It gives us a chance to spend more time on offense during the winter months,” Coach Dye commented.

The ceiling suspended cage was installed by R T ATHCO and stands at 12′ x 14′ x 70′.  It is operated by remote control.
